XSF: Best Xiaolin community out there.

I've seen a lot of Xiaolin communities out there and it's easy to see that the Xiaolin fandom is on its death bed. It's nothing like it was almost 10 years ago, when the fandom was at its peak of popularity. You'd think Xiaolin Chronicles would have revived the fandom, but its failure to do so and bring back relevance proves what a failure Xiaolin Chronicles is.

In fact, the Xiaolin series has been given a bad name due to it. You could also say the horrid fangirls spamming godawful fanworks and their stupid opinions have given the Xiaolin fandom a bad name as well.

But there is one community left out there that gives me hope and keeps me from losing all faith in Xiaolin fans, a small light at the end of the tunnel. One community that has kept the Xiaolin spirit alive, in these dark times, the way it was meant to be: XSF, aka Xiaolin Showdown Fansite. Look as hard as you can, you won't find a group of Xiaolin fans this unique, colorful, or badass anywhere else. We're talking big fish in a small pond known as the Xiaolin fandom.

There's something special about this site. It has something going for it. It's innovative as far as this fandom goes.

Here you'll find several upon several quality topics that take a deeper look into Showdown and Chronicles beyond "let's sign another petition!" or "Christy Hui da best!!!1!1!" or "RaixKim 4eva!!!1!", sparking the most interesting discussions and debates.

Seriously, there's SO much more to talk about in Showdown or Chronicles beyond the usual talk you see on places like here or tumblr or Facebook. Chronicles may have not been a success and Hui may still be struggling to revive it again, but we as fans should show more appreciation for the series by discussing all the aspects of it that we've taken for granted over the years, because the topics on this site prove that there's so much more in the series left to explore.

Not to mention other forums for fanclubs, general discussion and games.

Then there's the competitions. In other words, XSF has it's own style of showdowning, complete with a talented roster, a ranking system, records, Xiaolin/Heylin dynamics and a prestigious championship that only the best of the best showdowners can hold.

But that's not all that makes this place great. Beyond that, you can do the same thing you do on DA: Post fanart and create blogs. Episodes of both Showdown and Chronicles are looking to be re-posted soon as well. In short, XSF has everything.

So it's time for something. Something big. It's time to make this the big online Xiaolin fandom attraction that it's meant to be. You think only fandoms like Naruto or Kingdom Hearts or whatever deserve to have a popular forum and the like, while the Xiaolin fandom suffers?

If you are a true Xiaolin fan, then ffs, fight for the motherfucking fandom! Make some damn noise! There's more ways to support the series than just begging for new material or signing petitions. This is the place to be.

If you are not a true fan, but the one who's just there or is just happy the series came back as XC and accepted it without further evaluation or joins sites like XSF, only to focus on your own agenda (getting some redundant petition signed for example), voice bullshit, and then leave, then here's what I have to say to you: Stay on DA or wherever you like to frequent and let the Xiaolin fandom continue dying its slow, painful death. As harsh as this may sound, when I look at these kinds of "fans", I wonder exactly how they are worth anything to the fandom?

It's time to stand up for the Xiaolin fandom. Join XSF!

It's true everyone, XSF isn't XC friendly. But people aren't assholes because you like XC or you're new. They're assholes if you act like an annoying fangirl. So the good news? You're free to love XC on there as much as you want!

You see, this is a community that respects quality, be it from the series or posts on the site. You can like XC all you want and still be treated with respect, it's just a matter of how you get your point across and not letting what other people think have power over you.

For example, let's see what Megan Ryan and her friends did wrong. Upon arrival, Megan posted a petition for everyone to sign. Here's a few mistakes that could have saved them from the asshole side of XSF:
- If she talked to Christy Hui as much as she bragged about, she would know just as well as everyone else that XC was going to be released digitally, so there was no need for a petition.
- She completely missed the obvious signs that this was a bad idea, due to the negativity XC receives there.
- She skipped the Temple Enrollment where she could have properly introduced herself to the forum and gotten off to a great start.
- Her and her friends started forcing their views on XC and Christy Hui down everyone's throats. If they had spent a little time lurking, they'd know XSF has seen the exact same posts from different users and they weren't telling them anything new.
- Someone in my comments said if someone breathed a single positive word about Xiaolin Chronicles, they were treated as an outcast. First of all that can't be true, because almost everyone on XSF has had something positive to say about it. What is true is that if someone breathed a single negative word about Xiaolin Chronicles or Christy Hui, Megan and her friends overreact and act like they just killed someone.
- What did she join for? Just to post that unnecessary petition. She didn't join to be part of the community, post in any of the XS/XC discussions, post any pictures or overall contribute. If you don't plan on doing anything else...why should we care about your opinions since you won't be active anymore anyway?

If you also got to know the community better, you'd know nothing is serious business. If you people could just learn how to laugh with us, rather than getting butthurt over trivial matters, you'd be able to coincide with us just fine, new or not. There's never even a proper opportunity to welcome some of you, because...just refer to my last point about Megan.
